F&CS Language Services
The F&CS Language Services program provides interpretation services in over 20 languages. Our high-quality interpreters are local to Middle Tennessee and can effectively communicate in person, over the phone, or via video call.

How much does it cost?
Language Services utilizes a pay-as-you-go model that starts at $75 per hour. There is no retainer for service, so you only pay for what you use.
Does this meet the federal funding requirement?
Under U.S. law, if you seek services from a government agency or an organization funded by the U.S. government, you are entitled to receive assistance in your language. Our program allows you to remain compliant with no retainer fees – pay only when you use it.
What are language access services?
Language access services include interpretation and translation of important documents. An agency cannot require a client to provide their own interpreter (such as a friend or family member); it is recommended not to use family or friends even if they volunteer. Agencies are required by federal law to pay for these services and offer them to clients at no cost.
What is an interpreter?
An interpreter facilitates communication between people who speak different languages. This service can be provided in person, over video, or over the phone.
