Welcome to Family and Children Service (F&CS).

We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. F&CS was established more than 6 decades ago. Many years ago a group of private citizens, from this community, saw a great need to support families and children impacted by The Depression, World War II and other societal factors. It was among this group of far-sighted individuals that the vision for Family & Children’s Service was born.

Throughout our history we have remained faithful to our mission to strengthen families. We continue to evolve in our effort to be responsive to the varying needs of the individuals we serve. We strengthen families, children and individuals to achieve self sufficiency, family preservation and emotional well-being through specialized mental health counseling, education and supportive services

To the individuals, children, and families we serve: we regard it as a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to work with you in your journey toward healing. Thank you for entrusting us and allowing us to be a part of this process as you re-discover your strengths and build healthy connections. We most certainly recognize the courage you harness on this path. Please know that our work with you greatly adds to our growth as individuals. We thank you for this too.

To our volunteers and donors: so often people who don’t work directly with the children and families we serve at F&CS are uncertain of their true impact. Trust that you are very much a partner in the daily efforts to provide real help, for real hurt, right now®. Without your support we would not be able to provide quality services to our clients. F&CS has a rich history of commitment from the community. Your support ensures that the F&CS legacy of strengthening families will continue. You are very much a member of the F&CS team. Knowing your strength has been added to our daily efforts is encouraging.
