Family & Children’s Service receives support from many sources, including individual donors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and the United Way. We also partner with numerous agencies to deliver our services where they are needed most.
Our work would not be possible without the commitment and generosity of these important partners. Here are a few organizations that have made a big difference at FCS:
TN Department of Human Services Since 1999 we have partnered with the Tennessee Department of Human Services to provide our Family Focused Solutions program. We are grateful to receive support from and work with DHS to help Families First participants overcome barriers so they can break out of poverty and become self-sufficient.
TN Department of Children’s Services We are very thankful to the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services for many years of major support and commitment to the children and families we serve. DCS funds our Davidson County Relative Caregiver Program.
TN Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services We are grateful to receive funding from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse to provide Strengthening Families curriculum within some of the programs we offer. Strengthening Families is an evidence-based family skills training program found to significantly reduce substance abuse in children. Thanks to support from the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, last year we launched Strengthening Families in our Davidson County Relative Caregiver Program.
