Touching People Where They Live.

Family & Children's Service reaches out into the community to provide special help through the following programs:

Trauma Intervention Center for Children& Adolescents - One of only 54 centers nationwide specializing in youth trauma. Counselors partner with Metro Police and other agencies to provide direct service to children who have suffered or witnessed violence in their homes or neighborhoods.

Family Resource Centers - We participate in four community-based centers, leading two of them, offering a variety of health and human service programs to strengthen families and neighborhoods. We lead the FRCs at Cora Howe Elementary School in East Nashville, and Napier Elementary School in South Nashville. We provide services in support of the McKissack Elementary School FRC, and St. Luke's Community House FRC.

Family Services Counseling - solution-focused therapy for women in the Families First (welfare reform) program who have not been able to find employment. Reaches women in 26 counties in Middle Tennessee, including Williamson and Davidson Counties.
